Band thread

The process of stamping the band thread consists in making an impression on a flat metal sheet, creating raised surfaces.

The process of stamping the band thread consists in making an impression on a flat metal sheet, creating raised surfaces. That is, the metal is pressed and moulded into a net shape, without wasting material. For this reason, the thickness of the resulting item is greater than the metal sheet itself.

The stamping of a clamp’s band thread is mainly aimed at ensuring that the screw performs its function correctly. The teeth of the worm screw must coincide perfectly with the band thread, so that the band can move without damaging the piece and guarantee its perfect operation.

In our ASFA S Pro clamps, the band thread is placed asymmetrically, offset to one side of the band. This provides better performance and ease of application.
